Uptown Social at 'The Park'
The Uptown Social was held at The Park at 14th in celebration of the new Oct/Nov issue of Uptown Magazine. Big Tigger, Robin Hamilton, Chinyere Hubbard, Greg O'Dell, Elliott Fergson, Cynne Simpson, and John Booty were just a few of the many celebrity attendees. The event emcees were Marc and Troy from WHUR and included two live performance from local Grammy nominated singer Carolyn Malachi.

SOME Trot For Hunger 2011 Highlights
This year, 7,200 participants joined SOME for the 10th Annual Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger on Thursday, November 24. A District tradition, the Trot for Hunger is a terrific event for individuals, families, companies, faith communities and other organizations who want to help the hungry and homeless on Thanksgiving morning.
