I had almost forgotten about ole Local 16 until a friend invited me for a casual drink last week. When you attend a lot of upscale events sometimes you forget how much fun you can have when you throw on your ripped jeans (translation: True Religion, slim fit with pre-cut holes.. I'm sorry, I'm not that guy with the jeans that I wore out all on my own), t-shirt and sneaks and duck into the cool, little bar on the corner. Well, it all came rushing back to me when we stopped by Local 16 for one and ended up almost closing the place. The drinks were strong and cheap (as far as I can remember), the music was good and the most importantly the regulars were a delight. If you live around 16th and U, check it out!
