Washington, DC based Aidah Fontenot is a woman of many creative inspirations, the culmination of which have lead to her rise as an emerging talent in fine art and fashion design. Aidah, a native of San Diego, began her fine arts training as a child and by the age of 15 her striking works were featured in the Centro Cultural in Tijuana, Mexico and the San Diego Museum of Art. Her early fore into fashion led to her first runway exhibition in high school and since she hasn't stopped.

With a visionary eye she created Aidah Collection, a creatively chic fashion line inspired by natural elements. Each garment is handmade to order and adorned in hand brushed design, making every piece truly one of a kind. The effortless style reflects the versatility of every busy woman and can be dressed up or down with timeless appeal. Aidah wants every woman to feel confident and sexy and thus embraces womanly curves with stretch cottons and satins that flatter women of all shapes.

Aidah Collection was officially unveiled in Spring 2008 and celebrates it's first year with an exciting revelation: the Homme Collection for Men. The robust and unique collection, available Fall 2009, embodies the image of a confident, sexy man with effortless distinction. The very masculine line will include casual pants, turtle necks, crew necks and tees highlighted with hand brushed designs.

The collection uses ethical practices by shunning factories and instead employing professionals who are passionate about their craft. Aidah Collection also believes in giving back, a percentage of sales revenue throughout the year is donated to non-profit organizations such as Interstages, the National Cherry Blossom Festival, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Upcoming collections include the Pink Collection for breast cancer research and Elements Organic Collection for earth preservation. Aidah believes that artistic talent is innate, but applying it requires skill. She plans to begin a non-profit youth program for the training and encouragement of the exceptionally talented pursuing creative careers.

Aidah continues creating buzz with features on Washingtonian Magazine, On Tap Magazine and The Georgetowner Newspaper. Events in 2009 include official merchandise for the National Cherry Blossom Festival, and featured runway showcase in the Fashion Fights Poverty Charity Show. The collection is a favorite among local Washington DC fashionistas including Opera Singer Abiodun Koya, Miss DC 2008 Katie Marie Grinold and official spokesmodels Kate Michael and DJ Neekola. Actress Sarah Jessica Parker and First Lady Michelle Obama have been gifted with the collection.
