Divas of Dish
Divas of Dish: Spicy Vietnamese Grilled Chicken Subs
Sub, sammy, panini, po-boy--what we live-to-love betwixt two slices. Clearly, there is no end to what we, the slaves of sammich fashion, can dream up when faced with those first pangs of hunger.
Divas of Dish: Lovely Bones Braised Short Ribs with Honey, Chipotle and Black Beans
Ah, the lovely bones. Rich, meaty, fall-off-the-bone-then-melt-in-your-mouth braised short ribs.
Divas of Dish: Itty Bitty Brownie Bites
Portion size plays a starring role in the drama of losing weight, and since the divas can't live without a surreptitious chocolate fix, these itty bitty treats hit the spot and the crunch of a heart-healthy almond or walnut is the proverbial icing on the cake.
Divas of Dish: Verna's Voluptuous Orange Pepper Salad
Lusty, succulent bell peppers. The divas say to go for buxom and bright--and don't scrimp on color. The more color, the more antioxidants--and the more antioxidants, the less wrinkles you'll get, which means you won't need to have a facelift, which then means you won't be selfishly spending your children's college tuition money. Aging gracefully is in the bowl, babe.
Divas of Dish: Beet and Roasted Red Pepper Salad
Who said that dinner has to be an ordeal? Multiple courses are for teensy people with lots of time and gravy boats. Sometimes it's all about quick and fabulous--a small perfect something that nourishes body, mind and spirited taste buds.
Divas of Dish: Live and Let Liver Pate
Put down your fork and slowly back away from the high-calorie holidays. And while some of us can abandon the butter and never look back, others need a little richness to get through January. This classic pâté has just enough--pumped up with spices and less fat than the classic version.
Divas of Dish: Asian apple slaw
That sound you hear is the crunching of diet-crazed America, at full tilt this month after mindless holiday grazing. We are diving in to fruits and veggies with all the gusto we can muster, amping up flavors with little or no fat.
Divas of Dish: To die-t for Asian soup
The holiday cookie binge is over and you're still too fat for the chimney. Since everyone knows that diets don't work, you'll need a few a mouth-watering, adipose-punishing recipes to find your way back to a more reasonable bathroom scale.
