Redskins Weekly only on WDCW-TV, DC50 Starting Saturday, September 6 at 6:30pm


Washington, DC (Wednesday, July 30, 2008) - WDCW-TV, DC50 in association with the Redskins Broadcast Network, will air a weekly Redskins football program highlighting the events leading up to game day. Redskins Weekly will premiere Saturday, September 6 at 6:30pm and re-broadcast Sundays at 10am only on DC50, Home of the CW!

Redskins Weekly will showcase a variety of Redskins coverage including:


  • A weekly One-on-One with Coach Jim Zorn that will focus on the week's upcoming opponent

  • A weekly player interview

  • "Game Time," a feature which focuses on how individual Redskins get ready for a game

  • Press briefings from the week leading up to game day

  • A Redskin's Cheerleader feature

  • Redskins Legacy programming and Emmy Award-winning documentary segments for the 2007 75th Anniversary Show

  • 2008 Stories from a Super Season

  • Redskins player profiles

  • Variety show sketch segments

  • Beauties on the Beach segments and more!


Two fresh faces, Justin Jackson and Rebecca Mejia, will host the weekly program bringing a unique perspective to Redskins Weekly.

Justin Jackson is currently a contributing co-host for Redskins Nation, with Larry Michael. Justin has had an array of assignments in the entertainment industry as well as participation and commentating roles in the world of sports. Justin has appeared in several soap operas, as well as appearing in several leading roles on Americas Most Wanted. He started his career as a major cast member in Julius Caesar at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Justin has been cast in many other television, film and stage roles, as well as commercials. Justin is an accomplished athlete and former district basketball player of the year. He combined his athletic skills and love of acting, while participating in NCAA sports, as he completed his degree in Radio, Television and Film Production at Howard University.

Rebecca Mejia is a producer and reporter for redskins.comTV. She also hosts the Redskins Nightly News, appears on Redskins Nation hosted by Larry Michael, and can be seen on other Redskins related web features and TV shows. Mejia started with the Washington Redskins organization by cheering from the sidelines as a Redskinette cheerleader. She has since tossed the pom-poms and picked up a mic to bring the fans up-to-date information on all aspects of the Redskins. A native Virginian, the Redskins have been a part of her life from the start. Mejia graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Prior to joining the Redskins, she worked as a producer for C-SPAN.
